The first annual Christmoustache has drawn to a close. The votes poured in and the decision is unanimous. I want to congratulate Matt Pedlar on being victorious. His dedication to the competition was unmatched. Here’s his winning photo, titled “Show Stopper” (please note the left over shaving cream behind his ear):
As the winner, a $140 donation has been made in his name to
Gilda’s Club South Eastern Ontario. Gilda’s Club is a place where people with cancer and living with cancer can go for support from others in similar situations. My Dad, and fellow Christmoustache contestant, is on the board of directors. Here’s a photo from the cheque presentation:
It should be noted also that our good friend Cory had to work over the holidays, and once you see
his honourable mention photo (from his honeymoon out east last year), you’ll know why he couldn’t be seen at work like that. Our other good friend
Kman elected not to participate, but for much less valid reasons.
A big thanks to everyone for participating and making the donations easy. I for one had a lot of fun. Keep those upper lips greased for next year.
